MY

PHILOSOPHY

As an AASECT certified Sex Therapist and licensed counselor, I treat a range of sexual, relationship, and intimacy concerns. I see clients from heterosexual and LGBT communities.  I place great importance on creating a safe collaborative experience to facilitate open and real discussion around subject matter that might feel uncomfortable.

Whether you are going through a particularly difficult time now, or have had concerns over a longer span, think of therapy as a way of freeing yourself from the obstacles which prevent you from moving forward. We aren’t always able to solve every problem ourselves, and come to therapy seeking growth.

We will work together using a variety of treatment modalities to address your needs and reach your therapeutic goals. Sometimes, starting can be the hardest part. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation before our first meeting so that we can see if we might be a good fit.

*All sessions are conducted via telemental health (Zoom) currently.

PHILOSOPHY

SERVICES

Sex Therapy

While I work with individuals and couples on a variety of issues, I specialize in sex therapy.  Sex therapy is a specialized form of talk therapy that helps clients better understand their sexual functioning, communication, and relationships.  Sexuality is an integral part of our lives, encompassing satisfaction with our relationships, our ability to connect intimately with others, and our self-image and emotional well-being.  I support a sex positive approach to therapy and behavioral change.

Sex therapy is appropriate for issues related to:

  • Desire discrepancy in relationships

  • Sexual pain disorders

  • Erectile dysfunction

  • Premature ejaculation

  • Anorgasmia

Both couples and individuals can undergo therapy for sexual concerns.

Individual and Couples Counseling

I honor the brave and courageous decision to learn more about yourself and acknowledge that choosing to embark on a healing journey is a significant decision in life.

I offer psychotherapy for adult individuals and couples who have a variety of therapy concerns such as depression, anxiety, transitional issues, low self-esteem, trauma history or who are experiencing feelings of disconnection in relationships.  My practice includes short term and long term psychotherapy options.

I serve both LGBTQ and heterosexual populations:  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Queer identifying clients consistently feel comfortable and safe in a collaborative and confidential therapy experience with me.  My goal is to provide an inclusive space where clients’ goals are acknowledged and actualized.
